First Buses – Glasgow Airport Express
When First buses developed the Glasgow Airport Express (GAE) service we successfully tendered to create an on-board passenger information film.
We initially worked closely with the dedicated GAE team to create two films one for passengers arriving at Glasgow Airport and travelling to Glasgow city centre and another one for the return journey. We were also required to create sign post films to inform passengers when the bus was approaching all the stops around the City Centre and the required information for each one. These additional films required us to work closely with the technical team to ensure the films and the stops worked flawlessly when the bus stopped.
As First buses provided services throughout Glasgow and beyond it was vital that not only did the film provide information about the GAE service but also the other routes that they serviced and the variety of tickets they offered. As so much information was required to be included it was vital that the film had to be engaging and informative to keep the customers attention throughout the journey.
A few years later due to the success of the service First bus commissioned new double decker buses with additional on-board services. They then re-commissioned us to develop and produce a new set of films to reflect the revamped vehicles and service.
